Services

From a chimney stack to a full-height commercial scaffold: surveyed, designed where it needs to be, built by our own crews and inspected every week it’s up.

Domestic scaffolding

Roofs, chimneys, extensions and loft conversions. Up when we say, and gone as soon as the job’s done.

Scaffolding for homeowners and the builders and roofers who work for them: roofs and chimneys, extensions, loft conversions and repointing.

We’ll look at the job, tell you what’s needed and what it costs, and talk to the neighbours if the scaffold needs to go on their side.

  • Roofs, chimneys and gutters
  • Extensions and loft conversions
  • Repointing and rendering
  • Pavement licences sorted for you

Commercial and new build

Full-height scaffolds for new builds, refurbishments and offices, designed by an engineer where they need it.

Scaffolding for new-build housing and apartments, office and retail refurbishments, and the plant and services that go with them.

Most scaffolds are built to a TG20:21 compliance sheet. Anything outside it, from a loading bay to a cantilever, gets a design from a scaffold engineer before we build.

  • New-build housing and apartments
  • Office and retail refurbishments
  • Scaffold designs from an engineer
  • Loading bays and gantries

Heritage and churches

Scaffolds for listed buildings, churches and spires, tied in through windows and openings where the stone can’t be drilled.

Listed buildings, churches and old mills need a scaffold that doesn’t damage what it’s there to repair. We plan the ties around the building, through windows and openings where we can, and agree them with the conservation officer.

  • Listed buildings and conservation areas
  • Churches, towers and spires
  • Mills and warehouses
  • Ties planned around the building

Sheeting and temporary roofs

Sheeting, debris netting and temporary roofs that keep the weather out and the dust in.

Sheeting and netting to keep dust and debris on site, and temporary roofs so a re-roof or an extension can carry on whatever the weather does.

Sheeting catches the wind, so every sheeted scaffold is checked for the extra load before it goes up.

  • Sheeting and debris netting
  • Temporary roofs
  • Shrink-wrap encapsulation
  • Checked for wind loading

Stair towers and edge protection

Stair towers, edge protection and access for sites that need people up and down all day.

Stair towers instead of ladders where crews are up and down all day, edge protection for roofs and slabs, and access for every other trade on site.

  • Stair towers
  • Edge protection for roofs and slabs
  • Loading bays
  • Access for other trades

From survey to strike

Every scaffold we put up goes through the same seven steps, whoever it’s for.

  1. 01

    Survey

We visit, measure up and look at the access, the ground and the neighbours. Free, and usually within 48 hours.

  2. 02

    Design

Most scaffolds are built to a TG20:21 compliance sheet. Anything outside it gets a design from a scaffold engineer first.

  3. 03

    Licence

Scaffold on a pavement or road needs a licence from the council. We apply for it, and put up the lights and barriers it asks for.

  4. 04

    Build

Built by our own CISRS-carded scaffolders, with boards, guardrails and toe boards in place before anyone works on it.

  5. 05

    Handover

We check it, tag it and give you a handover certificate before anyone else goes up.

  6. 06

    Inspect

Inspected at least every seven days while it’s up, and after anything that could affect it, like high winds. A written report every time.

  7. 07

    Strike

Taken down when you’re finished, and every tube, board and fitting cleared away.
